1930s-40s Tlaquepaque Rare Black Pottery, Vintage Saucer Ceramic folk art, Tourist pottery, Pressed Stamped Mexico on the back, from San Pedro Tlaquepaque, which means “Sobre las Lomas de Barro” Over the Clay Hills. depicting everyday imagery, landscape of the times or of ‘Old Mexico. Tlaquepaque’ pottery—twice fired clay was dipped in a lead oxide bath for its second high firing should not be used for eating. Approximate measurements in inches: 8 1/4” Diameter.
No crazing or edge chips.
