Miffy Art Parade Statue - created for Miffy's 60th birthday - Design by Rik van Iersel 6" tall - Excellent condition- Purchased in Amsterdam The title of Rik van Iersel’s Miffy statue is Twinkle, twinkle, little star - six suns make my day. ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is one of the oldest and most well-known lullabies worldwide. Wherever it is encountered, the nursery rhyme is always an icon of recognition and a symbol of positivism. The same can be said of Miffy. So to me it seemed very appropriate to combine the two. To celebrate 60 years of Miffy there is a sun for each decade. The icons fused into one in my statue are painted with colours borrowed from Picasso and Le Corbusier. It’s time to party!’
