Mata Ortiz - Leonel Lopez Saenz Sr.- Olla with Lizards - Excellent Condition

This is a gorgeous museum quality olla
by the well know and highly respected Mata Ortiz potter, Leonel Lopez Saenz
.  A quick internet search will fill you in on his background and beautiful pots.  This one has Mr. Lopez characteristic lizard or gecko designs in a bright red glaze.  It has only been displayed in a glass case and never in direct sunlight, and for the last several years it has been in a box out of the light entirely.  I bought this back in the late 1990's and it is in excellent condition.  Sorry for my flash creating bright areas on the piece.
