Art pottery square chicken rooster honeycomb pattern Vintage Signed By Phyllis.
This very interesting clay square pot measures 6x6. The inside is glazed a smooth ivory. The out side has more texture. Side 1 depicts a rooster and a chicken, side 2 has a honeycomb design etched in the glaze, side 4 also has a honeycomb design, side 4 has a rooster, with some honeycomb design. Birds have colored plumage. The bottom is painted brown, with the artist signature “Phyllis”. This could be used as succulent planter, or many other uses. It looks vintage, but in great condition. No chips or cracks. Inside has crazing, due to age, but doesn’t effect the integrity. In fact it adds to the vintage look. Please let me know if you have questions or need more photos.
