    Description

Antique early 1900’s Bronze “Manneken Pis” Statue On Marble from Brussels, Belgium. This was most likely a souvenir from the early 1900s. This depicts the young boy who saved Brussels from disaster. Also called “Petit Julian.” The enemy was at the Gates ready to bring down the walls of the city by gun powder. Manneken Pis originated in 1388 but became popular in the 1600’s. Today, the young boy sits atop a fountain in a square in Brussels where he urinates into a fountain.
