We have for sale this bag of 25 stainless steel cushioned line hangers for air brake lines, fuel lines, vacuum lines, air horn lines, etc.  These are the easiest to use when it comes to hanging lines.  Open the clamp, put it on the line and then squeeze it shut.  It's ready to be fastened, can be moved on the line where needed and you don't have to try to dig one out of your pocket when your on a creeper.  The opening of the clamp is 1/4" when the clamp is fully closed (mounting tabs touching).  They will accept a 5/16" OD line but that is the maximum.
These clamps make hanging lines a lot better than it used to be.  Makes for a first class job and stands the test of time.  They can be installed with pop rivets, machine screws and nuts, sheet metal screws, drywall/wood screws, self-drilling screw, etc.
